Diary of Llewellyn: May 2, 1924

Made arrangements in office with Jennie Sweeney, Anna Pusch, Florence Gerold, Amelia Westerman, Evelyn Kaufman, Willa Steinhoff, Marie O’Brien, Lee Arnold, to meet at the Penn Station in Ladies Waiting Room on May 4, 1929 (first Sat of May) at 2 o’clock. We are waiting Mr. Tillston’s return from Canada. Told we were to move down with Mr. Fletcher.

Next Entry: May 3, 1924

William Thorward Moore, 1930-2012

Every weekday for the past year, I’ve woken up, cooked Grandpa breakfast, and we’ve watched the news or Today Show together. This morning I’m not doing that. It’s hitting me harder then I thought it would but I have to remember Grandpa’s favorite thing to say when he was having a hard time.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
