Beautiful Day. Children’s Day. No League service. Spent time during Sunday School helping Roswell decorate church. Plume’s out in Packard sedan in afternoon & Love’s up from Plainfield. Mr & Mrs Stoutenhugh came in after Church & we had ice cream.

Diary of Llewellyn: June 8, 1923
Terrible thunder shower at 2 AM. We got up & got dressed. Pa went on to Market after it lightning very sharp. Geo covered his head in blankets. Got very cool was cool all day. Went down to Rally at Bloomfield Park ME with Mildred, Roswell & Ernest. Wild bunch there did not bother with any of them or play any of the games. We had party in office at lunch time.

Very hot. Terrible shower in Caldwell about 3 o’clock. Teamed and washed our driveway out. Thundered & lightening very heavy. Teachers Meeting at church. I went down to Mildred’s for a short time after it. Very stormy & foggy. Terrible Thunder shower came up. 2 AM of W Fri. morning.
